Maureen reached out to us for help this past February. She was experiencing knee pain daily and it was starting to affect her quality of life. She was ready to make a behaviour change so she could continue to be there for her husband, children, and future grandchildren!

“Working and walking became a real struggle for me. I was also looking to lose weight and become more physically active.”

Maureen has been working 1-1 with our Registered Kinesiologist Kelly twice a week for almost 3 months now. Not only has she been putting the work in during their sessions, but also outside of their sessions. She is consistently going for a 30 minute walk daily to hit her 150 minutes of moderate-vigourous aerobic activity weekly to meet the Canadian movement  guidelines, and she has made changes to her nutrition to better fuel her body.

“I’m almost at my 3 month mark and I have lost a total of 27 lbs. My knee pain is drastically reduced and I have more energy than I’ve had in a long time. Kelly is very personable and knowledgeable – my sessions have been life changing!”

The hardest part when starting an exercise routine for most people is staying consistent. At Longevity Nexum we help our clients with adherence, which is a primary contributor to one’s success! Maureen has been consistent since day one and that is evident with the results she has achieved thus far! When you feel like giving up or not showing up for your workout always think back to why you started. What do you want to continue to do 10, 20, even 30 years from now? For Maureen, it was being able to bring grandchildren to Disney World one day and keep up with them!
