Happy National Kinesiology Week! This week is dedicated to celebrating the work of Kinesiologists across the country!

So who are we and what do we do? Kinesiologists are healthcare professionals that use evidence-based research to treat and prevent injury and disease, as well as improve movement and performance. We prescribe exercise as medicine to help our clients improve their health span, so they can continue to do the things they love 10, 20, 30 years from now!

Many people are unaware of the profound effects that exercise can have on their physical and mental well-being. As a Kinesiologist, I have the opportunity to educate clients about the benefits of regular exercise, and empower them to take control of their health. Every individual is unique, with different fitness levels, goals, and limitations and I’m able to guide each individual towards a safe and effective workout by prescribing exercise to meet their needs and goals.

Starting and maintaining an exercise routine can be challenging, especially at the start. As a Kinesiologist, I strive to inspire and motivate my clients. I enjoy celebrating their progress, no matter how small, and provide ongoing support to help them stay consistent in their fitness journey!

My role extends beyond simply prescribing exercise, I also help clients adopt healthy lifestyle habits, such as proper nutrition, hydration, sleep, and stress management. I give them guidance and tips to improve these aspects of their life. By addressing lifestyle changes in conjunction with physical activity, I’m not only able to help my clients reach their goals faster, but help them achieve long term health!

As a Kinesiologist at Longevity Nexum, I have the power to change peoples lives by empowering them to take control of their health through exercise. I have the pleasure of waking up everyday knowing that I’m going into work to make a positive impact in someone’s life and for that I will be forever grateful!
