• Kelly Knabenschuh

    Registered Kinesiologist

    Bio

Kelly Knabenschuh is a Kinesiologist at Longevity Nexum who is committed to helping individuals improve their health, regain confidence in their bodies, and extend their quality of life! She has supported numerous clients in losing dozens of pounds, improving blood markers related to diabetes, and building sustainable habits that lead to long-term health and longevity. Kelly believes that true results come from looking beyond exercise alone. Her approach addresses the whole picture — movement, nutrition, sleep, stress, and daily lifestyle habits. She regularly incorporates simple, motivating challenges — such as step challenges and daily movement goals — to help clients increase incidental movement and stay active in their everyday lives. Kelly believes that health is built through consistent habits, not perfection. By encouraging small, achievable actions like walking more, breaking up long periods of sitting, and finding opportunities to move throughout the day, she helps clients build momentum and improve their overall energy and resilience. These challenges not only support physical health, but also improve mental well-being by making movement feel approachable and rewarding. By meeting clients where they are and creating realistic, individualized plans, she helps them feel stronger, more confident, and more in control of their health. Whether someone is managing chronic conditions, looking to improve metabolic health, or simply wants to feel better in their body, Kelly’s coaching style is supportive, evidence-based, and focused on lasting change — not quick fixes.

Chelsey quickly built and continues to maintain a full caseload across Barrie — a reflection of the results her clients experience and the care they receive. People don’t just start with Chelsey; they stay because they feel supported, stronger, and more confident with every session.

    Chelsey helps clients:

    • Reduce pain and move with confidence

    • Build strength beyond what they thought was possible

    • Improve mobility and physical capacity

    • Reduce health risks through consistent movement

  • Melanie Williams

    Accredited Exercise Physiologist

    Bio

Growing up in the small town of Tiny, Mel was always drawn to movement, sport, and the feeling of what the body is capable of. What began as a personal passion quickly became something deeper — a desire to help others use movement as a way to fully participate in life. Whether that means being an engaged parent, keeping up with work demands, enjoying time with family and friends, or staying pain-free enough to play with grandchildren, Mel believes movement should support the life you want to live.

Time and again, Mel found herself stepping beyond her comfort zone and into the unknown. She was the first in her family to pursue post-secondary education, followed by experiences that demanded resilience and adaptability — serving with the Coast Guard in Nova Scotia, becoming a volunteer firefighter, deploying overseas to Latvia with the military, and eventually stepping into her most meaningful role yet: becoming a first-time mom. Each chapter shaped her ability to learn quickly, stay grounded under pressure, and lead with empathy. Today, she carries that same curiosity and commitment into her mission to help people in any capacity she can.

Becoming a parent reshaped Mel’s perspective in a powerful way. Like many parents, she experienced firsthand how sleep deprivation, shifting priorities, and limited time can affect both the body and mindset. It changed how she views exercise — not as something that needs to be intense or overwhelming, but as something that should support your life, not compete with it.

As the most experienced Registered Kinesiologist at Longevity Nexum, as well as a Pre- and Postnatal Coach, Mel understands both the science of movement and the realities of busy, demanding lives. Having been with Longevity Nexum since the very beginning, she knows what it means to balance family, work, recovery, and self-care — and she meets her clients exactly where they are.

With two sets of grandparents actively involved in her child’s life, Mel is especially passionate about helping adults and older adults feel strong, capable, and confident as they age. She works closely with clients to manage pain, prevent injury, navigate chronic conditions, and maintain independence — so they can stay present and involved with the people who matter most.

Throughout her career, Mel has helped individuals:

    • Take control of pain and stiffness through movement, not just medication
    • Build strength to keep up with kids and grandkids
    • Recover from injuries and regain confidence in their bodies
    • Navigate pregnancy, postpartum changes, and aging without letting them become barriers

At the core of her work is a simple belief: exercise is a tool for improving quality of life at every stage of life. There is no “perfect time” to start — only the choice to begin with the right support.

If you’re looking for movement that feels approachable, personalized, and meaningful to your everyday life, Mel would love to help you take that first step.

  • Mitchell Hooper

    Accredited Exercise Physiologist

    Bio

Mitchell Hooper is from Barrie, Ontario and played every sport imaginable growing up. After finishing with playing football at the University of Guelph, he wanted to take his passion for sports and carry that into a career in strength and conditioning. After landing a dream job with a professional basketball team as the head strength and conditioning coach, he began to question if there was a larger impact that he could make.

Throughout university and while evaluating the best career path, Mitchell continued pursuing different athletic pursuits which saw him step on a bodybuilding stage, golf at the provincial championships (briefly working under Sean Foley, Tiger Woods coach in his prime) and run 3 marathons (PB of 3:24).

After several family members were diagnosed with chronic illnesses from coronary artery disease leading to heart attacks, to cancer, brain tumors, seizures and diabetes, he knew that working with people with chronic conditions would be pivotal in his career moving forward. Despite all these diagnoses and advice to improve diet and exercise, there was nowhere for them to go to exercise safely.

Mitchell sought out the #1 exercise physiology program in the world to undertake his masters in exercise physiology, which took him to the University of Sydney. After 4 years of study and work, he made his dream a reality by teaming up with his employer in Australia, Jarrat Wood (the founder of Longevity) to bring an exercise physiology/kinesiology clinic to his hometown.

During this time, Mitchell continued various athletic endeavours and settled on strength sports. Things seem to have gone fairly well, as he now has a budding professional strongman career:

    • 8th place Worlds Strongest Man 2022
    • 2nd place Giants Live Strongman Classic 2022
    • 2nd place World Deadlift Championships 2022
    • 2nd place Giants Live World Open 2022
    • 3rd place Shaw Classic 2022
    • 1st place Arnold UK Strongman Championship 2022
    • 1st place Giants Live World Tour Finals 2022
    • 3rd Place Rogue Invitational 2022
While he has always been active with different sports, his real endeavour is to put himself through everything that might be asked of you - whether that is leaving your comfort zone in resistance training, aerobic training, or committing to a long fitness journey to take yourself to a whole new version of you, he has been there. Nothing says ready for a big challenge like finishing a marathon and setting the goal of getting to the Worlds Strongest Man only a few years later.
