Whether you are a seasoned golfer or starting for the first time this year, a Kinesiologist can play a vital role in preparing you for the golf season and set you up for success by helping you with the following:

Initial Assessment

During our initial assessment we will assess your current physical condition including strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance. This will help us to identify any weaknesses or imbalances that may affect your golf swing and overall performance.

Customized Exercise Prescription

We will create a customized exercise program tailored to your specific needs and goals, including exercises to improve your strength, flexibility, core stability, and mobility. In addition, if you plan on walking the course with your golf clubs, rather than taking a cart, we will work on your cardiovascular fitness to ensure you can do that with ease!

Injury Prevention

Golfing can put stress on various parts of the body, leading to injuries if not properly managed. We don’t want your first day on the course to be your last for the season due to an injury! We will implement exercises and stretches that help to prevent common golf-related injuries, such as lower back pain, golfer’s elbow, and shoulder injuries.

Golf-Specific Training

By implementing golf-specific exercises into your training program we can help you improve your swing mechanics, power, and accuracy. In particular, exercises that work on rotation, balance, coordination, as well as strengthening the muscles used during the golf swing will enhance your performance.

Golfing offers a range of physical, mental, and social benefits, making it a great activity for overall well-being. At Longevity Nexum in Barrie you can work 1-1 with a Kinesiologist in our private exercise studio to improve your overall fitness, reduce the risk of injury, and optimize your performance for the upcoming golfing season!
